| The Appointment manager is really the core of how The London Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, the patients and therapists interact. Think of it like a coin. The appointment manager has a public face, and an internal face. The internal face is a series of recurring appointments in your diary for the patients on your list that you are meeting with. The internal face 'blanks' or screens out your availability on the public face, leaving only your free time availability for a new patient to book into. The Public Profile The appointment manager allows patients in the web-site - the front end - to interrogate the diaries of therapists for availability for initial consultations, and to be able to book themselves in for an assessment. The appointment manager allows the patient to select a particular therapist, and interrogate that therapists appointment manager diary for assessment times. Further details about all of this are in the two discussion sections: • Organising your assessment availability • The processing of assessments | | If the patient is set on meeting a particular therapist who is not showing availability, then they can do that by adding their details to the 'waiting list', and noting there that preference. See the discussion section 'The Waiting List'. Each patient has a record sheet in the appointment manager. Each record is noted with the name of the therapist to which the patient is assigned. That record can be accessed by you in 'Patients' in the top menu of the appointment grids display. See the discussion section 'Patient's Section'. The record will usually include a note of the patient's email address - which can be used for sending out auto-mail in the appointment manager.
For ongoing appointments with active patients in your caseload sessions can be made out, updated/changed or cancelled with email notifications of those transactions being sent out to the patients.
Session transactions are making an appointment, updating appointment details and
cancelling an appointment. For each of these transactions you can not email the notification advice note to the patient by 'unclicking' -
not selecting - the 'send to patient' in the session screen. |
