| This is about Associate Therapists who may take on Lower Fee patients or where the existing patient's fees are renegotiated to a lower rate. At The London Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy the current cut-off point for low-fee support is a front-end declaration that the patient's gross annual income is under £20,000. In practice, when a patient applies themselves to the low-fee calculator, the fee suggested may well be in excess of the £30.00 per session fee that is the lowest fee by the standard-fee route. For low-fee support, then, The London Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy is considering the fee derived from the calculator, & not whether that fee was derived from the two application 'pathways' and where the fee calculator is suggesting fees of <£19.00. If the patient is a low fee patient, The London Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy will support the fees that they pay you, so that the net fee to the therapist after room fees (but discounting referral fees due) is never less than £14.50.00. | | For instance, for a one hour session: a patient paying £21.50 fee attracts no support, as the net fee to you per session is £14.50. A patient paying £15 attracts £6.50 support, so that after paying your room fee you would net £14.50. For instance, for a 45 minute session: a patient paying £19.75 fee attracts no support, as the net fee to you per session is £13. A patient paying £14 attracts £5.75 support, so that after paying your room fee you would net £14.50. In practice though, the low-fee support is handed over as a deduction against the Room Lease charges that The London Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy makes, and handled in the month-end account through the Service Code. |
