The London Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy charges room fees by the hour for all time booked in by therapists.

Usually, time is booked in by the therapist in the appointment manager by allocating both a patient name & a session length to a start time.
Exceptionally, time can be booked in by the therapist in the appointment manager by allocating both reserved/or therapist name & session length to a start time. These also qualify as time booked in.

The current rate is £8.50 per hour for each of the twelve rooms at 19 Wentworth Street & 10 Cobb Street.

The lowest bookable unit is 45 minutes, charged in proportion (£6.38).

A 'shift' is defined as the time from when the therapist starts to use a room, and where there is no break in booked activity that is in excess of 45 minutes.
If there is a break of 45 minutes or more, this provides a window where another therapist can book in. Breaks of 45 minutes+ are therefore 'shift-enders' and not chargeable.
Therefore, if there are breaks of under 45 minutes between patients booked in by one therapist in one room, then those breaks are chargeable time. This will result in the Appointment Manager filling in such 'blank times' with a session called 'chargeable break' that can last between 15 to 45 minutes.

Room Fees are usually invoiced by The London Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy to the therapist at month end, in the form of a report of activity over that month. Please see the service codes section for details of how the session code takes account of the room fee in generating the month-end account

After any booking is made, it is not possible to remove that booking from the appointment grid by 'cancellation' unless that removal by cancellation is made in excess of 48 hours before the start of that particular appointment.

If the appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, it must remain on the appointment grid as a chargeable event, and marked up as cancelled.

Bookings may be made up to a decade in advance. Aggressive booking of reserved or therapists name time outside of usual shift patterns will be challenged.
